A Small Adventure
One of the oldest and most well preserved temples in the Angkor complex. It was made as a shrine to Shiva. The multi-headed snake is a Naga which represents the primal forces of nature protecting the site. The god on the elephant is Indra. Shiva is not represented as a human figure: a form called a lingam is used instead, which looks like a pillar coming from the top of a pitcher, and represents sexuality/fertility.
